Safety Tips
Your safety is our priority. Follow these guidelines to ensure a secure and positive experience.
Verify Identity
Although we verify JNU enrollment, always ask to see the person's university ID or other relevant credentials during your first meeting.
Meet in Public
For your initial meeting, choose a safe, public, well-lit place on or near campus, like the library or a popular cafe.
Never Share Financials
**Do not** share bank account numbers, credit card details, or pay rent/deposit until a lease is signed and you have physically viewed the property.
View Property In Person
Insist on seeing the property and meeting the landlord/roommate in person before committing any money or signing a document.
Bring a Friend
When viewing a room or meeting a potential roommate, take a friend with you for extra safety and a second opinion.
Sign a Contract
Always ensure all agreements (rent, bills, house rules) are put into a written and signed contract to prevent disputes later.
